How does V represent typical gender roles to communicate messages?

Thesis-

In the film V for vendetta, Evey is seen to represent the mother role as she metaphorically births the revolution, which helps to change everything, she 'birthed' the revolution which maybe considered the rebirth of the government, starting off fresh.This is shown in the last scene of the film in the final revolution, as Evey pulls the leaver that send the train off to cause the explosion in parliament. The tunnel symbolises a yonic object and the revolution is what Evey is birthing. This part of the revolution is the opposite to passive and passive is shown as a feminine trait, this shows that part of the revolution is considered as masculine.

V is seen to be a metaphorical mother in parts of the film as he helps Evey become who she is by the end of the film. He represents the mother figure as he helps Evey grow as a person and makes her stronger. this is shown in the scene where V cooks Evey breakfast, which is usually a feminine thing to do. He also has other feminine traits such as his mask has make up on it, which is considered feminine, it also has long hair. Evey accepts this as she did not have a mother role in life, which may be why V wants to nurture her, as he sees that she needs that role.

Evey is looking for a protect in the film, which is pushed by the fact that her parents were taken away, this shows she didn't have any mother and father role models as she grew up, which forces her to want to find another mother and father role as she grows up. In the scene where Evey is going to Dietrich's house, this shows she is trying to find a protector within him, as she did not have a father role as she grew up, this is to with the oedipal complex. Evey want to find aspect of her father in men she is wants to be with, but because she did not know her father, she doesn't know who to be with, which shows why she is attempting to visit Dietrich, who is her boss. Dietrich can also symbolise authority as he is her boss, which is what she was also missing in her life, as her parent were absent.

The imagery of yonic and phalic symbols is present in the film as in the rebirth scene, it shows both Evey and V becoming stronger as they came out of something bad that made them a better person. In the scene of Evey stepping out into the rain and V stepping out of the fire,
